THE PEOPLES CATWALK IN AID OF THE CHRISTIE HOSPITAL 17TH/18TH SEPTEMBER

Designer Jeff Banks takes Christie patients down The People's Catwalk to help promote the event on the 17th and 18th September.
On the 17th and 18th September Jeff will once again be hosting The Peoples Catwalk in The Orient in The Trafford Centre with Key 103. This time the event is in aid of The Christie hospital - the largest Cancer treatment and research centre in the UK.

Anyone regardless of size shape gender and ability can walk down the catwalk and be photographed by a team of professional photographers - they just pay £10 which ALL goes towards the patient support centre at The Christie. Prior to the event Jeff visited the Christie to see the new chemotherapy unit and then did some makeovers with some patients, walking them down the catwalk in readiness for the big day!!

Designer Jeff Banks takes Christie patients' services staff down The People's Catwalk to help promote the event on the 17th and 18th September.
“I was delighted to meet the Christie patients today, and hear first hand how important the services provided by the hospital really are.
“We’re gearing up for a great weekend of fashion at The People’s Catwalk, and for just £10 per catwalker, we welcome anyone to take part. The cash we raise on the 17th and 18th will directly benefit the patient support services we’ve seen in action today. These services are vital in boosting the moral and self-esteem of people who are going through treatment – and evidence shows that cancer patients respond better to medical intervention when they feel good about themselves. The ladies and one gentleman! - who are patients at the Christie had a wonderful time being made over by The Body Shop and Gap - trying on hairpieces and varieties of make up - and all looked fabulous!"
