The Etape is one stage of the Tour De France which is open to the public each year on closed roads.

2014 saw it take place in the Pyrenees starting in Pau and finishing at the top of the Hautacam taking in the fierce climb of the tourmalet on the way. 

LEADING FASHION DESIGNER GETS MEASURE OF GRAND DÉPART

The team responsible for the successful bid to bring the Tour de France to Yorkshire have been kitted out with an official uniform thanks to one of the country's leading designers.

Jeff Banks, who was the official tailor of the London 2012 Olympic Games Bid Committee, has now been made official tailor of Yorkshire’s Grand Départ.

The designer measured up the Leeds-based team at the Welcome to Yorkshire offices for a uniform that draws on aspects of his current collections, with a unique twist to commemorate the Tour.
