On a cold Sunday morning on May 15 Jeff turned up at Warwick Castle to ride the third West Midlands Princes Trust Palace to Palace Bike Event. The Castle grounds provided a splendid backdrop for seven hundred riders to cover 45 miles to raise funds for The Princes Trust.
All kinds of talents lined up from very useful club cycling teams to game riders who had never dreamt of cycling to the shops let alone riding 45 miles. They deserve the biggest congratulations as boy would some of them suffered over what was quite a hilly course. A 10 mile an hour headwind from Stratford on Avon to Kenilworth Castle wouldn't have helped them much either.
Sports Ambassadors Dion Dublin and Martyn Johnson not only turned up but joined the ride.
By the time the riders got back to Warwick Castle the grounds had been transformed in to a spectacular picnic. Well received by hungry riders.
