Gretna Green just north of the border in Scotland was renowned for where young couples ran away to get married. May 12th saw stylish men running over the border to the Jeff Banks store in The Gateway Center in Gretna. In what is fast becoming a tradition at visits in Scotland, Jeff was greeted by a piper but in Gretna it was a lady piper!
Maggie Hunt as usual was on hand to provide grooming and three competition winners stepped up to the plate. Mr Joseph Magee was first to arrive but proved more than a challenge for Jeff. His ample frame was just over the top for the Jeff Banks size range. No problem! Jeff ran an expert tape measure over him and created a wardrobe of made to measure shirts and trousers that will be really something special. Mr Barry McKinnel wanted a casual wardrobe as he spends his working life in a suit. He went for two lightweight nylon jackets to wear over layers of polos and shirts. Jeff Banks straight cut jeans and chinos rounded off the prize.
Mr Kevin McGuiggan was the star winner picking up a Jeff Banks Bespoke Suit. He chose a superfine merino wool plane navy blue fabric to be made into a classic three piece suit. Six weeks time he will be the proud recipient of suit of a lifetime.
