The beginning of November saw Jeff make his annual return to Australia for the Melbourne Cup to co host Fashion on the Field with Australian radio presenter FiFi Box. Over 800 contestants presented their outfits on stage which were judged by an international panel of judges which included Royal Milliner Philip Treacy.

LADIES WHO ROCK LUNCH
October 11th saw Jeff make the trip north to Newcastle to give an after lunch speech, to 300 ladies from the North/east who were raising funds for the Princes Trust. Jeff spoke about his life and times which also involved a little fashion gossip in answer to questions posed by the enthusiastic crowd.

LAUNCH OF THE CATFORD CYCLING JUNIOR RACE TEAM
The Catford cycling club in south London of which Jeff has been a member of 50 years, launches its junior race club called Catford CC Equipe on November 25th at the clubs annual dinner. Jeff Banks is sponsoring the fledging team for a 3 year period and designed a new race strip for the team members.

CHILDREN WITH CANCER BALL
On the 10th of November the annual Children with Cancer Ball was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel and the committee was chaired by Rob Templeman. This was a charity first established by the O’Gorman family after the sad departure of brother and sister Paul and Jean.

FASHION ON THE FIELD WEDNESDAY
The end of August saw Fashion on the Field return to the Ebor meeting at York races.
Once again glamorous men, women and children gathered in the now famous marquee to parade their fashion credentials and have their outfits judged with hope of winning the big prize of a week all expenses paid trip to St Vincent in the Caribbean.

BELIZE OLYMPIC OPENING CEREMONY UNIFORM GETS THE JEFF BANKS TREATMENT
Having created the uniforms for the winning bid committee in 2007 for Shanghai Jeff Banks knows a thing or two about winning outfits.
The Belize Olympic committee have asked Jeff Banks to create their uniforms for the Olympic opening ceremony on July 27th, which will be watched by an estimated 1.5 billion people.

JEFF DESIGNS ROCKIN ALL OVER THE WORLD BRA FOR CHARITY.
10th May Hyde Park saw 700 women take to the pavement for a night walk to raise money for the Walk the Walk cancer charity.
Nine designers were asked to create a commemorative bra for the event that were put on display at the finish marquee.

JEFF PRESENTS LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TO CHRIS MOORE AT GRADUATE FASHION WEEK.
The night of June 13th
saw the culmination of four frenetic days of fashion at Earls Court with the
gala fashion show. Always a star studded event, this year was by far one of the
most glittering in the past 10 years.
Jeff is one of the original founders of the event and is Life President.
The event this year sponsored by George was attended by designers Matthew
Williamson, Julien McDonald, Barbara Hulanicki and Charlie Allen. Stars from TV
were on hand to distribute awards and the evening was hosted by Carlyn Franklyn.

JEFF BANKS SPALDING STORE APPEARANCE
Spalding might be one of the smallest Jeff Banks shops but what it lacks in size it made up for with enthusiasm. As usual Maggie Hunt was on hand to provide some very slick grooming for the men of East Anglia. The store had run three competitions with different newspapers and magazines. First up to collect his prize was Tom Baxter who was looking for a suit to go to his first Prom.

JEFF MEETS THE QUEEN
Tuesday May 15 found Jeff at The Glades Shopping Center Bromley with a host of Britain's top designers to be presented to Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. This was part of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The center was filled with thousands of schoolchildren and surprised shoppers all furiously waving Union Jack flags.

JEFF BANKS RIDES THE PALACE TO PALACE
On a cold Sunday morning on May 15 Jeff turned up at Warwick Castle to ride the third West Midlands Princes Trust Palace to Palace Bike Event. The Castle grounds provided a splendid backdrop for seven hundred riders to cover 45 miles to raise funds for The Princes Trust.

JEFF RUNS OFF TO GRETNA
Gretna Green just north of the border in Scotland was renowned for where young couples ran away to get married. May 12th saw stylish men running over the border to the Jeff Banks store in The Gateway Center in Gretna. In what is fast becoming a tradition at visits in Scotland, Jeff was greeted by a piper but in Gretna it was a lady piper!

THE AMSTEL GOLD ETAPE
Every year sees The Classics return to Southern Holland and Northen Belgium. Three classic cycle races that have been held for the last century. They have passed into cycling folklore as millions of spectators line the routes to catch a glimpse of National heroes. The races are all around 275 kilometres long over some of the hilliest terrane northwestern Europe can offer.

JEFF BANKS DESIGNS FOR GREENEDGE
GreenEdge is the brand new professional Australian
cycling team. GreenEdge have been granted a UCI license, which means they will
be competing at the highest level around the world. This will include major
races such as the Tour De France, the Tour of Italy and the Tour of Spain.
Already Simon Gerrans has won the national road race championship of Australia
in the new GreenEdge colours.
